22% Now Say They're Done Shopping for the Holidays

The countdown to Christmas continues.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 22% of Americans now say they have finished their holiday shopping with Christmas less than two weeks away. Seventy-three percent (73%) have not. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

This is nearly identical to findings a year ago at this time.

Last week, just 17% had finished their shopping.  Six percent (6%) actually had all their shopping done just before Thanksgiving.

Thirty-five percent (35%) say they still have not begun their holiday shopping this year, but 59% say they've at least gotten started. This, too, is almost identical to the number of Americans who had started their shopping by this time last year but shows little change from a week ago.
