In Florida, the most infamous Toss-Up State of Election 2000, President George Bush has the lead heading into the final weekend of Election 2004.

A Rasmussen Reports survey conducted Wednesday night found the President with 50% of the vote and Senator John Kerry with 45%.

That survey is separate from our daily Florida Tracking Polls provided to Premium Members. Our daily Tracking Poll shows the President ahead by a smaller margin. As a result of that daily poll and the state's history, we will leave Florida in the Toss-Up status for our Electoral College projections.

Fifty-two percent (52%) of Florida voters have a favorable opinion of the President. Forty-seven percent (47%) say the same about Senator Kerry.

Regardless of who they want to win, 54% believe the President will be re-elected.

Florida is the largest Toss-Up state available in Electoral 2004. Along with Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, it is one four Battleground states that account for the bulk of the Electoral Votes currently in play.

In Florida, 53% of all voters Approve of the way President Bush is performing his job.
