In surveys last week, this is what America told Rasmussen Reports:
- President Trump ended the polling week on Friday with a daily job approval of 44%.
- Dr. Anthony Fauci’s refusal to answer a Senate committee’s questions about the COVID-19 pandemic have given rise to accusations of contempt of Congress, and a plurality of voters support the charges.
- Most voters continue to support the SAVE Act, which would require proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections, but is currently being blocked in the U.S. Senate.
- Radical policy proposals by the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) don’t get much support from voters.
- The president earned a monthly job approval of 43% in July, unchanged from June.
- The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is so broke they had to mortgage the party’s D.C. headquarters, and a plurality of voters suspect mismanagement is to blame.
- A majority of U.S. workers think they will be making more money next year, and don’t expect that they’ll have to change jobs to do it.
- The push to make Daylight Savings Time (DST) all year long is not popular with Americans, and more would rather do away with it altogether.
- Thirty-six percent (36%)of Likely U.S. Voters think the country is heading in the right direction.
