More Now See U.S. Economy as Unfair

Fewer voters see the American economy as fair than they did a year ago, and especially think the economy is unfair to low-income people.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 14% of Likely U.S. voters believe the economy is Very Fair, generally speaking. Twenty-nine percent (29%) think the economy is Somewhat Fair, another 24% say the economy is Not Very Fair and 30% view the economy as Not At All Fair. With 43% now saying the economy is at least somewhat fair, this is four points lower than the 47% who said the same in September 2025. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
