Trump Voters Scorch Media Coverage; Biden Voters Like It
Voters are less critical of the media’s presidential campaign coverage than they were four years ago, with most continuing to rely on television as their primary news source. But Biden voters remain far bigger cheerleaders of the media than Trump voters are.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey shows that 40% of all Likely U.S. Voters rate the media coverage of this year’s presidential campaign as good or excellent. Thirty-nine percent (39%) describe it as poor. But this compares to 30% and 46% respectively in early November 2016. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

The survey of 1,000 Likely U.S. Voters was conducted November 3-4, 2020 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.
