TX Worker Confidence Hits Record High Again
Topping the old record set just last month, the state’s Hudson Employment Index (SM) inched up 0.8 to a new all-time high of 127.7. The latest reading is more than 15 points higher than last September’s 112.5. However, it should be noted that the Gulf Region was coping with Hurricanes Katrina and Rita at the time. The national Index, based on responses from approximately 9,000 workers across the country, fell in September, dropping 2.4 points to 100.5.
