San Francisco Worker Confidence Much Higher in 2006

In 2006, the Hudson Employment IndexSM for San Francisco averaged 100, more than 15 points higher than in 2005 (84.7). The strongest readings were between April and November, generally ranging in the mid 100s. The Bay City’s lowest reading came at the very beginning of the year, when it registered 84 in January. The national Index, based on responses from approximately 9,000 workers each month nationwide across all industries, also improved its yearly average from 101.5 in 2005 to 103.8 this year.
