Americans continue to take a dim view of the U.S. Supreme Court's performance, perhaps in part because most still think the justices base their decisions on their own political agenda rather than the law.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 26% of Likely U.S. Voters think the nation's highest court does a good or excellent job, while just as many (27%) rate its performance as poor. Democrats lead Republicans by two points on the Generic Congressional Ballot for the week ending Sunday, June 22.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 40% of Likely U.S. Voters would vote for the Democrat in their district’s congressional race if the election were held today, while 38% would choose the Republican instead.
Democrats also led by two  points – 39% to 37% - the week before and have been ahead for most weeks this year, with support ranging from 38% to 42%. Support for the GOP has ranged from 35% to 41% since January 1.  Democrats led Republicans by a narrow 40% to 39% margin a year ago.

Voters are more negative than ever about the state of the U.S. health care system, and once again a majority believes the new national health care law will make it worse.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 31% of Likely U.S. Voters rate the current health care system as good or excellent. Thirty-five percent (35%) describe the system as poor, up from 31% in May  and the highest negative in regular tracking since November 2012. (To see survey question wording, click here)

Twenty-six percent (26%) of Likely U.S. Voters think the country is heading in the right direction, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey for the week ending June 15.
This is down four points from the week before and the lowest finding since early December 2013.  The number who say the country is heading in the right direction has been in the narrow range of 28% to 30% for 21 out of the 26 weeks since mid-December.

Democrats lead Republicans by two points on the Generic Congressional Ballot for the week ending Sunday, June 15.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 39% of Likely U.S. Voters would vote for the Democrat in their district’s congressional race if the election were held today, while 37% would choose the Republican instead.
Democrats led by four points – 41% to 37% - the week before and have been ahead for most weeks this year, with support ranging from 38% to 42%. This is the first time since late April that Democratic support has dipped below 40%. Support for the GOP has ranged from 35% to 41% since January 1.  Democrats and Republicans were tied at 39% a year ago.

The economy and job creation are now most important to voters on the list of 15 major issues regularly tracked by Rasmussen Reports.
Seventy-six percent (76%) of Likely U.S. Voters consider the economy Very Important in terms of how they will vote in the next congressional election, according to a new national telephone survey. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

More voters than ever think the current U.S. economy is unfair to all Americans.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 35% of Likely U.S. Voters now think the economy is at least somewhat fair today, down from 41% in April and the lowest finding in regular surveying since the beginning of 2013. Sixty-one percent (61%) consider the economy unfair, up from 55% and a new high. These findings include six percent (6%) who think the economy is Very Fair and 24% who say it’s Not At All Fair. Voters still aren’t convinced that the new national health care law will improve the quality of care or address their number one concern, how much it costs.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 42% of Likely U.S. Voters still share a favorable opinion of Obamacare, while 54% view it unfavorably. Republican Congressman Steve Daines has moved to an 18-point lead over interim Senator John Walsh in the U.S. Senate race in Montana.

Former Governor Mike Rounds still leads his Democratic opponent Rick Weiland by double digits in South Dakota’s U.S. Senate race, but Republican-turned-Independent Larry Pressler has made the race a bit closer.
A new Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely South Dakota voters finds Rounds with 44% of the vote to Weiland’s 29%. Pressler, a former three-term Republican senator, picks up 18% of the vote. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate in the race, while seven percent (7%) are undecided. Though one-in-three voters say their personal health care coverage has changed because of the national health care law, half still say the law hasn’t impacted them positively or negatively.
Forty-four percent (44%) of Likely U.S. Voters have at least a somewhat favorable opinion of the health care law, while 52% regard it unfavorably, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.
