More than half (57%) of Florida voters say it is at least somewhat likely they would vote for Republican Governor Charlie Crist in the state's United States Senate race in 2010. That figure includes 23% who say they are Very Likely to do so.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the state found 37% say it is unlikely they would vote for Crist in the race.

While the GOP governor is considering a run in 2010, 34% of voters think his decision to remain governor would be better for the state of Florida. Twenty-one percent (21%) say it would benefit Florida more if Crist were a member of the Senate, while 46% are unsure.

The governor, who took office in 2007, earns high approval ratings in the latest survey, with 68% who strongly or somewhat approve of the job he's been doing. Thirty-two percent (32%) strongly or somewhat disapprove of Crist's job performance.

Crist's approval numbers have changed little from a poll conducted in February, when 67% approved of his performance.
