As President Trump holds a forum on Long Island about the MS-13 street gang, most voters see the notorious gang as a serious problem and don’t believe he is being too aggressive in dealing with the issue.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 74% of Likely U.S. Voters view MS-13 gang violence in America today as a serious problem, including 46% who see it as a Very Serious issue. Only 19% don’t think MS-13 is a serious problem, with five percent (5%) who label gang violence from this group as Not at all Serious of an issue. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
The survey of 1,000 Likely U.S. Voters was conducted on May 20-21, 2018 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
