Gun sales in the United States are down since Donald Trump took office even though Americans now think it’s easier to get a gun than it used to be.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 51% of American Adults now say it is too easy to buy a gun in the United States today. That’s up from 44% a year ago when Americans were buying guns at a record pace. Ten percent (10%) think it’s too hard to buy a gun in this country, while 33% think the level of difficulty is about right, virtually unchanged from last year. The survey of 1,000 American Adults was conducted on April 25-26, 2017 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
