Senator Debbie Stabenow (D) continues to enjoy a 20-point lead against three potential Republican challengers.

The Senator leads Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard 54% to 33%, former Detroit city councilman Rev. Keith Butler 53% to 32%, and Rev. Jerry Zandstra 53% to 33%. These figures reflect little change from our January 15 survey.

While the survey showed little change in the Senate race, Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm (D)has lost her lead from the prior survey.

Senator Stabenow is viewed favorably by 51% of respondents. Twenty-three percent (25%) view Bouchard favorably, 23% view Butler favorably, and just 19% view Zandstra favorably.

By a 53% to 36% margin, Michigan voters trust Congressional Democrats more than the President on economic matters.

By a 53% to 38% margin, these same voters say that the economy is a more important issue than the situation in Iraq.
