West Virginia: Bush 50% Kerry 44%

In West Virginia, the latest Rasmussen Reports survey shows President Bush leading Senator Kerry by a 50% to 44% margin. Four years ago, Bush won the state by six points over Al Gore, 52% to 46%. West Virginia remains in the "Leans Bush" column for our Electoral College projections. Fifty-six percent (56%) of West Virginia voters have a favorable opinion of Bush. For Kerry, that number is 48%. In West Virginia, 51% say the economy is getting worse, while just 35% say it is getting better. Still, by a 50% to 44% margin, the state's voters prefer Bush over Kerry when it comes to managing the economy.
