Washington: Kerry 50% Bush 44%

In Washington, the latest Rasmussen Reports survey shows Senator Kerry with 50% of the vote and President Bush with 44%. Four years ago, Bush lost Washington's Electoral College votes to Al Gore by five percentage points.

The state remains in the Kerry column for our Electoral College projections.

Last month, Kerry held a nine-point lead in Washington.

In Washington, Kerry leads 86% to 10% among Democrats. Bush leads 88% to 9% among Republicans. As for those not affiliated with either party, Kerry leads 50% to 38%.

In Washington, 48% of all voters Approve of the way President Bush is performing his job. That's up six from a month ago, but still below his national Job Approval rating.

Data for Washington will be updated again early next month.
