In Oregon, the latest Rasmussen Reports survey shows Senator Kerry with 50% of the vote and President Bush with 42%. Four years ago, Bush lost Oregon's 7 Electoral College votes to Al Gore by less than one percent of all votes cast.

These results represent a marked improvement for the Senator compared to the prior month. In that earlier survey, Bush was up by a single point, 46% to 45%. As a result, Oregon moves from the "Toss-up" category to "Leans Kerry" for our Electoral College projections.

Among Oregon Conservatives, Bush leads 75% - 18%. Moderates prefer Kerry 60% - 30% and Liberals favor the Senator 83% to 9%.

In Oregon, 45% of all voters Approve of the way President Bush is performing his job. That's down four points from 49% a month ago and below his national Job Approval rating.

Data for Oregon will be updated again early next month.
