In Georgia, the latest Rasmussen Reports survey finds President George W. Bush leading Senator John F. Kerry 51% to 39%.

This is the first Rasmussen Reports Georgia survey of Election 2004. The 12-point lead for President Bush matches his 12-point margin of victory in this state during Election 2000. While there are some exceptions, most of our state polls this year reflect results similar to those from four years ago.

At this point in time, our national Tracking Poll shows the popular vote is also where it was four years ago--a toss-up. The national poll is updated daily by noon Eastern.

Fifty-five percent (55%) of Georgia voters Approve of the way Bush is performing his job as President.

In Georgia, Bush leads among men and women, young and old. However, Kerry leads among Georgia voters who are not investors.

Data for Georgia will updated again early next month. Rasmussen Reports has also recently released polling data for the states of Illinois, New York, Texas, California and Ohio. Other state polling data will be released each day this week.
