Though by a slimmer margin than last month, Democratic Governor Ted Kulongoski is maintaining a comfortable advantage over Republican Ron Saxton in Oregon's gubernatorial race. Kulongoski now leads 47% to 38%. Pundits in the state have been expecting the race to tighten.

In August, Kulongoski enjoyed a fourteen-point lead of 49% to 35% in the Rasmussen Reports election survey. His current margin is only a point lower than we saw in July.
