Election 2008: Gingrich Trails Kerry and Gore
Massachusetts Senator John Kerry (D) would beat former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R) should the two square off in the 2008 presidential campaign. A recent Rasmussen Reports survey shows Kerry topping Gingrich 47% to 38%. Among our respondents, Kerry is the preferred candidate among both men and women and across all age demographics.
Former Vice President Al Gore (D) performs even stronger than Kerry. Fifty-two percent (52%) favor Gore while slightly more than one-third (36%) would elect Gingrich.
