59% Want U.S. Troops Home From Iraq
A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 59% of Americans want U.S. troops to come home from Iraq within a year. That figure has remained remarkably consistent over the past year. Last December, 64% supported the Iraq Study Group recommendation to remove “almost all U.S. combat troops from Iraq by early 2008. The 59% who want the troops to come home include 26% who want the troops withdrawn immediately and 33% who want them to come home within a year.
