Hudson Index: State and Local Sector Yearly Overview

Looking back over 2007, the average Hudson Employment Index SM, which measures the workforce's overall confidence in the employment market, seven out of eleven cities saw a decline in worker confidence. Tampa saw the greatest drop, plunging 13.2 points from last year's average to 100.6. Washington, D.C. also took a hard hit, falling 7.1 points to an average of 107.3, which was still the third highest reading of all the cities.
