Taxes: GOP Barely Leads Democrats on Issue
The key issue of taxes has Republicans and Democrats nearly tied in terms of voter trust with the midterm elections looming this fall.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 46% of Likely U.S. Voters trust Republicans more to handle taxes, while 45% trust Democrats more and nine percent (9%) are not sure. The GOP’s advantage on the issue has declined from five points in December 2023. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
