GOP Leads on National Security, But Tied on Taxes
Voters still trust the Republican Party more to deal with national security, but on the issue of taxes, Democrats are now tied with the GOP in terms of voter trust.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 46% of Likely U.S. Voters trust Republicans more to handle national security issues, while 42% trust Democrats more and 12% are not sure. This finding is essentially unchanged since April 2023, when the GOP led Democrats by a 45% to 41% margin on this issue. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
