Voters Not Convinced World Leaders Should Have Trump’s Cell Number
Donald Trump is the first U.S. president to hand out his personal cellphone number to several other world leaders, but most voters don’t think he should break from the norm.
A new Rasmussen Reports national online and telephone survey finds that just 36% of Likely U.S. Voters think it’s a good move from a foreign policy standpoint for President Trump to give his personal telephone number to several world leaders so they can dial him directly at any time. Fifty-seven percent (57%) think Trump should maintain a more traditional telephone arrangement so that all his calls with world leaders can be monitored. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
