1* The current Congress will be reconvening soon for a so-called lame duck session. Generally speaking, do lame duck sessions of Congress produce important legislation, or are they a waste of time?

2* Should lame duck sessions of Congress be discontinued except for dealing with any essential bills which must be passed?

3* Should the current Senate act on any of President Obama’s nominations or should it wait until the newly elected senators take office in January?

4* Should the time between Election Day and the swearing-in of new Congress members be shorter?

5* Were Tuesday’s election results more a vote for the Republicans or a vote against the Democrats?
