Survey of 1,000 Adults
Conducted May 10, 2014
By Rasmussen Reports
1* How closely have you followed recent news reports about new
transgender rights laws?
2* How serious a problem is discrimination against transgender people, those who identify with and want to live as the opposite sex – very serious, somewhat serious, not very serious or not at all serious?
3* New laws in California and Maryland ban discrimination based on gender identity when it comes to employment, housing and public accommodations. Do you favor or oppose such a law in your state?
4* Under the law, transgender people can use public bathrooms corresponding with the gender they identify with. Critics say this allows a man to use any woman's bathroom just by claiming he's a woman - or vice versa. Knowing this, do you favor or oppose such a law in your state?
