* How closely have you followed recent news stories about the federal government's surveillance efforts?

* As part of the effort to fight terrorism, the National Security Agency has been tracking telephone calls made by millions of ordinary Americans. Do you favor or oppose the NSA’s tracking of these phone calls?

* In the search for terrorists, is it necessary to collect the phone records of millions of ordinary Americans or would it be better to collect the phone records only of people suspected of having terrorist connections?

* Should the government be required to show a judge the reason for needing to monitor the phone calls of any specific American, or is it okay for a judge to authorize routine monitoring of millions of Americans?

* How likely is it that the surveillance data collected in this program will be used by other government agencies to harass political opponents?
