3*
Some say the NSA’s surveillance of domestic telephone calls should be more
restricted to prevent tracking the calls made by innocent Americans. Defenders
of the surveillance say any further restriction would endanger national
security. Do you favor or oppose putting greater restrictions on the NSA’s
tracking of Americans’ telephone calls?
4* Defenders of the NSA
surveillance program say that it has deterred several terrorist attacks. Do you
believe they are telling the truth or are they just trying to justify the
surveillance program?
5*
Edward Snowden, a former employee of a government contractor, has admitted to
leaking information about NSA phone and e-mail surveillance programs. Some say
he is a heroic whistleblower. Others say he is a traitor who endangered lives
and national security. Is Snowden a hero, a traitor, somewhere in between, or
is it too early to tell?
