* Suppose an average middle class family pays 9.3% of their income in state taxes. If a middle class family pays 9.3% of its income in state taxes, is it fair for wealthy people in the state to pay 10.3% of their income in taxes?

* If the average middle class family pays 9.3% of their income in state taxes, what percentage should wealthy people pay.  Should they pay less than 9.3% in state taxes, exactly 9.3%, 15.3% or more than 15.3%?  (Answered Only By Those Who Said it Was Not Fair for Wealthy to pay 9.3% -- 320 Likely Voters)

* In California, some want to increase the state income tax rate for wealthy people from 10.3% today to as high as 15.3%. If state taxes on the wealthy are raised from 10.3% to 15.3%, will a significant number of wealthy people move out of the state to avoid paying higher taxes?

* Which creates a better environment for businesses to create jobs — states with lower taxes and fewer government services or states with higher taxes and more government services?

* Do most wealthy Americans pay their fair share in taxes?
