Republicans have more allegiance to their political party than Democrats.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 36% of Republicans say, when general elections are held, they always vote for the Republican candidate. Just 28% of Democrats say the same of Democratic candidates. Nearly half of Republicans (49%) and Democrats (46%) say they usually vote for the candidate in their respective party. The survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted on August 12-13, 2018 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
