Ohio Survey of 750 Likely GOP Primary Voters

For ballot questions, the order of candidate names is rotated so that different survey respondents hear the candidate names in a different order.

 

1* If the 2012 Republican Primary for president were held today, would you vote for Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich or Ron Paul?

 

 

2* If the 2012 Republican Primary for president were held today and you only had a choice between Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum, for whom would you vote?

 

 

3* Now I’m going to read you a short list of people in the news. For each, please let me know if you have a very favorable, somewhat favorable, somewhat unfavorable or very unfavorable impression.

4* Which Republican presidential candidate would be the strongest opponent against Barack Obama in the general election… Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich or Ron Paul?

6* Suppose your favorite candidate does not win the nomination. When the general election is held, would you be most likely to vote for the Republican candidate, President Barack Obama, or a third party candidate?

 

 

7* What’s more important choosing a Republican nominee who does the best job representing Republican values or choosing a nominee that has the best chance to beat Barack Obama?
