National Poll: Giuliani 47% Edwards 45%

Republican Presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani continues to lead all Democrats in general election match-ups, but former North Carolina Senator John Edwards (D) has closed the gap to a statistically insignificant margin. The latest Rasmussen Reports Election 2008 survey finds Giuliani attracting 47% of the vote to 45% for Edwards. A month ago, Giuliani had an eight point lead, 49% to 41%. Giuliani’s advantage over another Democrat, Senator Barack Obama, has also gotten smaller during the past month. The latest election poll shows Giuliani leading 46% to 40%. A month ago, he held a double digit lead, 50% to 39%.
