Voters See Need for Trump’s Asylum Crackdown
President Trump has announced that he is tightening up the process for foreigners seeking asylum in the United States to shift resources to the borders. Voters agree the asylum process needs work and that the borders need help.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that just 22% of Likely U.S. Voters think it is too hard for foreigners to gain asylum in the United States. More than twice as many (47%) disagree and say it is too easy to gain asylum in this country. Twenty percent (20%) think the level of difficulty is about right.
