Fifty-seven percent (57%) of Likely Voters nationwide now favor repeal of the new health care law, including 46% who Strongly Favor repeal, according to the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.
Sixty-one percent (61%) of Likely U.S. Voters now at least somewhat favor repeal of the new national health care law, including 50% who Strongly Favor it. That’s up eight points from a week ago and the highest level of opposition measured since late May.
While debate continues to rage in the country over the national heath care bill, Americans are only slightly more confident that the private sector has a better chance than the federal government of maintaining quality care and controlling costs.

Fifty-three percent (53%) of U.S. voters now say they at least somewhat favor repeal of the new national health care law, matching the lowest level of opposition since the bill was passed by Congress in March. That includes 42% who Strongly Favor repeal.
Most voters continue to favor repeal of the national health care law, but a plurality believes that repeal of the controversial measure is unlikely.
