Trump Raid: Half Approve, But Share ‘Third World’ Concerns

Although half of voters approve of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s raid on the Florida home of former President Donald Trump, even more agree with criticism of the unprecedented event.

A new national telephone and online survey by Rasmussen Reports finds that 50% of Likely U.S. voters approve of the FBI’s action in the Monday raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, including 38% who Strongly Approve of the raid. Forty-six percent (46%) disapprove of the FBI raid on Trump’s home, including 38% who Strongly Disapprove (To see survey question wording, click here.)

The survey of 1,500 U.S. Likely Voters was conducted on August 9-11, 2022 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 2 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.
