Most See U.S. Economy Unfair to Women and Minorities
Less than 40% of voters now consider America’s economy to be fair, and most say that it is unfair to women and racial minorities.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 12% of Likely U.S. voters believe the economy is Very Fair, generally speaking. Twenty-four percent (24%) think the economy is Somewhat Fair, another 24% say the economy is Not Very Fair and 31% view the economy as Not At All Fair. Although these findings mark a slight improvement from January 2022, More Now View the Economy as Unfair, Especially to Minorities they reflect a sharp shift since 2019, when 56% of voters felt the economy was at least somewhat fair. The survey of 998 U.S. Likely Voters was conducted on September 14 and 17-18, 2023 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research.
