Phillies the Favorite to Win 2011 World Series
The Philadelphia Phillies and Boston Red Sox arguably made the biggest off season moves, and fans put them ahead of the pack going in to the 2011 Major League Baseball season.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Adults who watch professional baseball at least once a week shows that 21% think the Phillies will win the World Series this upcoming season. Seventeen percent (17%) think the Red Sox will win their first title since 2007. But their biggest rival is right behind as the New York Yankees are picked to win by 15% of baseball fans. The survey of 742 Baseball Fans was conducted on March 12-13, 2011 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 4 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.
