St. Patrick’s Day: More Americans Will Celebrate With a Drink
This year’s celebration of St. Patrick’s Day may be extra festive, as more Americans say they’ll have a drink for the holiday.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 36% of American Adults plan to have a drink to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, while 51% won’t be drinking and 13% aren’t sure. The number who’ll have a drink for St. Patrick’s Day is up from 32% last year. ( To see survey question wording, click here.)

The survey of 1,111 American Adults was conducted on March 9 and 12-13, 2023 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research.
