For Shoppers, Holidays Are Full of Fun - Or None
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 49% of Adults consider holiday gift shopping a fun experience. For 34%, it's an unpleasant one. Fifteen percent (15%) rate it somewhere in between the two. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
At this time last year, just 43% considered holiday shopping a fun activity, while nearly as many (39%) regarded it as unpleasant.
In early December 2008, only 39% said holiday shopping was fun, and slightly more adults (41%) had a negative assessment of it.

The survey of 1,000 Adults nationwide was conducted on November 20-21, 2010 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.
