62% Blame Hurricanes on Climate Change

Not a single hurricane has made landfall in the United States this year, but most Americans still suspect climate change is making storms more severe.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 26% of American Adults think this year’s hurricane season has been more severe than in previous years, while 25% say it has been less severe. Thirty-seven percent (32%) believe this year’s hurricane season is about the same as previous years and 17% are not sure. Last October, 19% believed the 2024 hurricane season was more severe than previous years. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
