83% Concerned About Identity Theft

The latest Rasmussen Reports survey found that 83% of American adults are at least somewhat concerned about identity theft. This includes 47% who are “very concerned.”

Diligence is required by consumers wishing to protect themselves against identity theft and 40% of all adults say they regularly check their credit reports to ensure their names and credit are clean. Twelve percent (12%) say they have insurance that covers the cost of repairing credit reports damaged due to identity theft.
