Increased Hiring Expectations Take Worker Confidence to 2006 High

Hudson Employment Index SM for Tampa workers rose over two points to 121.0 in August. Increased hiring expectations, fewer job security concerns, and a better outlook on personal finances contributed to this rise in local worker confidence. The city’s latest report is the highest reading in more than a year and nearly eight points higher than last August, when the local Index was 113.1. The composite Index, based on responses from approximately 9,000 workers nationwide, moved one point higher to 102.9.
