Americans Still Like Amazon, But Worry About Local Business
While a majority of Americans have positive opinions about Amazon, they fear local businesses will suffer from the online competition.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 60% of American Adults have a favorable impression of Amazon, including 21% whose view of the online retail giant is Very Favorable. That’s down from October 2018, when 68% had a favorable view of Amazon. Thirty-two percent (32%) now view Amazon unfavorably, including 12% who have a Very Unfavorable impression. The survey of 1,000 U.S. American Adults was conducted on January 20 and 23, 2022 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.
