What They Told Us: Reviewing Last Week’s Key Polls - Week Ending December 16, 2023

In surveys last week, this is what America told Rasmussen Reports:

- President Biden ended the polling week with a daily job approval of 43%.

Former President Donald Trump now has a double-digit lead for 2024, as support for re-electing President Joe Biden has faded in the past month.

- Nearly half of American voters think former President Donald Trump is guilty of attempting to overturn the 2020 election, and Democrats in particular want to see Trump punished.

- More than 20% of voters who used mail-in ballots in 2020 admit they participated in at least one form of election fraud.

- The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 24% of Likely U.S. voters think Congress has passed any legislation that will significantly improve life in America, while a majority (54%) say Congress hasn’t passed any such legislation.

- Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley’s presidential campaign has gotten some major endorsements and lots of media attention, but most voters still don’t see much chance she’ll get the GOP nomination next year.

- Nearly two-thirds of Americans believe almost anyone can find a job, and almost half still see work as the best way out of poverty.

- With less than two weeks to go until Christmas, many Americans haven’t even gotten started with their holiday gift shopping.

- Thirty percent (30%) of Likely U.S. Voters think the country is heading in the right direction.
