The Rasmussen Minute: In Defense of The West
President Trump recently gave a rousing speech from Warsaw, Poland, the geographical heart of Europe, in defense of Western civilization.
He championed the contributions and the values of the West and challenged its people to find the will and the courage, as they have done in the past, to fight for and defend their way of life against barbaric and oppressive ideologies.
While some in the media criticized the president's speech as too nationalistic and even racist, others called it powerful and Ronald Reagan-esque. Subsequently, a recent Rasmussen Reports survey found that 50% of Likely Voters prefer a president with a foreign policy more like Reagan than Barack Obama.
So, what might the 40th President of the United States have to say about Trump's full-throated defense of Western civilization anyway? That's the subject of this week's Rasmussen Minute.
