The Rasmussen Minute: London Bridge Attack: The Toll of Terror
Less than two weeks after a suicide bomber killed 22 and wounded many more outside the Manchester Arena in England, three jihadis used a van to mow down pedestrians on the iconic London Bridge moments before going on a deadly stabbing spree at the nearby Borough Market.
Seven people were killed and almost 50 more wounded in the vicious attack that pitted unarmed Londoners and tourists against the knife-wielding terrorists.
This was the third terror attack in the United Kingdom in less than three months and came just one week after authorities lowered the terror threat level from 'critical' to 'severe' after making numerous arrests in the Manchester attack.
Now, news agencies are reporting that one of the London Bridge attackers was known to authorities and even appeared in a television documentary last year about British extremists called "The Jihadis Next Door"–leaving many shaken British citizens weighing the toll of terror and wondering when enough is enough.
