What America Thinks: Are Our Graduates Ready?
It’s graduation season for high school and college students across the country. But do voters think those graduates are ready for what comes next?
Just one-in-five Likely U.S. Voters think most high school graduates today have the skills needed for college. Fifty-nine percent (59%) disagree. They’re even more likely to say high school graduates are not ready to enter the workforce, either.
Americans are slightly more confident in today’s college graduates: 35% think they have the skills needed to enter the workforce, but 47% disagree.
It looks like it may be a tough road ahead for the Class of 2016.
