What America Thinks: No Wonder Voters Don't Like Congress
We already know voters aren’t happy with the way Congress is doing its job, or really, much of anything. But when you look at what voters want and what they expect, it’s easy to see why they’re unhappy.
Fifty-four percent (54%) of voters want cut federal spending. As a matter of fact, voters for years have consistently pushed for less government spending and lower taxes. But just 29% actually think government spending will be significantly reduced over the next few years. Even fewer think taxes will likely be cut significantly. Voters want one thing, but expect Congress to deliver another. It’s no wonder they’re unhappy with Congress.
