What America Thinks: Clinton vs. Sanders

The Democrats have their next presidential pre-primary debate this Sunday evening, and while former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had seemingly clinched the nomination, former Vermont Governor Bernie Sanders has begun to give her a run for her money. Several polls show Sanders closing in on Clinton, even surpassing her in some key states. We’ll be releasing our latest monthly Hillary Meter next week following the debate to see where she stands.

After the last Democratic debate in December, 87% of Likely Democratic Voters thought Clinton was likely to be their party’s presidential nominee in 2016. But while she’s well ahead among older voters, she and Sanders are in a near tie among younger voters. Rasmussen Reports will be watching to see if the latest Democratic debate makes a difference.
