What America Thinks: The Holiday Buying Season Has Arrived
Thanksgiving and Black Friday are just around the corner, meaning Rasmussen Reports will begin rolling out its annual holiday shopping polling in the coming weeks. In prior years, roughly a third of Americans had begun their holiday shopping before Thanksgiving weekend and major shopping days like Black Friday and Cyber Monday. But following the major shopping weekend last year, that number jumped to over 50%.
Our latest Rasmussen Reports Consumer Spending Monitor also shows that consumers are optimistic about their upcoming spending, perhaps already planning for their holiday purchases. We’ll keep track of how far along consumers are in their holiday shopping as the season carries on, so stay tuned.
