What America Thinks: Say 'No' to Sanctuary Cities
The House of Representatives tackled the topic of sanctuary cities this week, voting on whether to withhold money from cities that refuse to enforce federal immigration laws. Fifty-eight percent (58%) of voters think it’s a good idea to cut off taxpayer funding to cities that provide sanctuary for illegal immigrants.
Sixty-two percent (62%) think the U.S. Justice Department should take legal action against those cities. This follows the recent murder of a young woman in San Francisco by an illegal immigrant with a long criminal record who has been repeatedly deported to Mexico but come back each time. He says he chose San Francisco because it does not enforce immigration laws.
